Pilates for cats
Jul. 15th, 2003 03:04 pmI guess I should post today, huh?
Gandalf has been funny lately (not that he's ever not funny). I guess he's lonely or something. Whenever one of us leaves the apartment, he meows loudly and pathetically until the remaining person calls to him. Then he comes running and settles down to spend time with you. It's funny and nice. This morning, he actually got between me and the door as I was leaving for work. He wouldn't get out of my way until Kathy called him, and then, with a cat glare at me, he followed her instead. It's nice to be loved. :)
Also, in the morning when we do Pilates, he always goes to lay behind one of us as soon as we start the rolling exercises. Thus, "Rolling Like A Ball" has become "Rolling On The Cat." Afterward, he leaps up and bites our ankles as if he didn't know we were going to roll on him. He seems to think it's some sort of fun game. He even enjoys it when Kathy scoops him up and uses him as a prop in the stretching exercises. What a nut.
Have I mentioned lately how awesome Pilates is? I'm telling you, everyone needs to try it. It has changed my life. I can touch my toes now when I stretch, which is something I've never been able to do because of my inflexible legs. My posture is better. I even have a two-pack! :) Very exciting. I think we might be ready to move on to the intermediate tape. I plan to discuss this with Em when we go to visit her this weekend. She's the one who got us started on it in the first place. Yay Em!
My cousin, whom I thought would be in town by yesterday, isn't getting here until very late this evening. I had set aside tonight to spend time with her. Tomorrow night is my Wednesday Bible study, which I missed last week and will probably have to drop out of soon because of band practice. I really want to go to it. I'm sure my mother and I will end up having a big argument about this.
I need new icons of myself. I'm a little tired of these pictures, but I don't have any others as good.
Why is "headachey" not a mood?
