shiny happy people holding hands
Jan. 16th, 2004 03:06 pmYay for Friday! I have a lot of fun plans for the weekend- with different friend groups. Quality catch-up time is coming my way. :) It's my last three-day weekend until Memorial Day, so I need to enjoy it. What are all of you doing?
The other day I found a burned CD with no label and had no idea what it was. It turned out to be my 1991 soundtrack, the last one I burned before I stopped downloading. It takes me right back to sixth grade. Speaking of CDs, I just mailed a batch. The shipping was cheaper than I expected! I still need some addresses- Messa? Kimma? DeAnna? Beth?
I've done so well with the eating this week, and today I'm blowing it right and left. I had a sample of strawberry smoothie this morning, and a small piece of cake just now because it was our monthly birthday party. Tonight I want to make a special dinner for Evan, which needs to include a dessert if he's going to be extra happy. Well...there's always tomorrow. :P I'm starting to believe that sugar really is addictive. Since I've been abstaining, I don't crave it so much. But as soon as I eat one M&M, I'm doomed. It's weird.
I don't think I've mentioned that my annual work conference is coming up- the one that was in Vegas last year. This year it's in New Orleans again. Because, you know, I haven't already been there fifteen times. The good news is, it's only three days, and this morning our senior VP sent us luggage! One carry-on suitcase and two smaller totes for each of us. Our names are already printed on the tags. It was a nice surprise. I like that guy. :) Now I'm reading up on packing techniques so I can use the new suitcase instead of my usual huge one.
Last night I got an idea and wrote something. It was only two paragraphs. Still, it was something. :)
I like candles. I feel compelled to share that for some reason.
My thoughts are with the Northeasterners. Please try to stay warm, guys! I asked Evan if he had called his parents in New Hampshire and he was like, "Why? They're fine." Then I heard that the wind chill in NH was -100 this morning. Yes, two zeros. I don't know how you guys can handle this. If it was ever -100 here, I'm positive that my heater would explode.

Date: 2004-01-16 01:13 pm (UTC)I've been having trouble with sugar today too. *blush* I've discovered the joy of chocolate chip cookies and peanutbutter, but it's okay because there are no more in the house. I made sure of it!
