Today was a momentous day for my journal - I have been added by the famous amandagrace, as well as the friendly glori and schip2mylou, whom I don't know much about but who seems like fun. I'm suspicious. Did someone make a post promoting me or something? :) I feel loved. Anyway, this is the first time today I've even been able to think about posting, so please be patient with me, all. I've had one project after another all day, as well as various frantic phone calls about various wedding things. Thursday seems to be a consistently rough day for me lately. At least I get to end it by going to Bible study, seeing friends, and having a free tasty dinner (tonight, pizza). Our movie series continues. Tonight we're discussing Bruce Almighty. It's cool taking lessons from movie clips, but it's also frustrating because then I want to watch the whole thing.

Stacy came to our weekly lunch today, and it was fun having her there. We missed Helen, though - or, as she's apparently known around our office, "that weird girl who used to work here." :)

I like my new cubicle on the corner of the row, but it can be annoying at the end of the day, when people tend to have really loud, shrieky conversations right outside it. I should get some headphones.

Fall weather has finally arrived. We haven't seen the sun in a week, but at least it's appropriately cool outside. Now I have nothing to wear, and I'm afraid to take my winter clothes out, lest it all be a trick and I need summer clothes again. It might be a good idea to just wait until after the honeymoon, since I'll need those warm-weather clothes for Jamaica anyway. :) In the midst of all this I keep forgetting about the Jamaica thing - like wait, I get to have a vacation when all this is over? Imagine.

You should come to Crichton's Coffeehouse Film Series some time. It's hosted by our Institute for the Arts and Cultural Apologetics and lead by John Hodges (http://www.crichton.edu/Academics/faculty/hodges.htm). We watch the entire film, then have an awesome discussion about it. It's ALWAYS amazing. The next one is tomorrow at 7:00 and we're watching "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." The next will be in December, I think. Call or e-mail if you're interested!

Heh I've always wanted to ask someone that owned some if they really work, so you should get some and let me know :P. Those are the closed kind, so that should further reduce the noise.

I know what you mean about Thursdays--its the day people try to get everything done that you had planned for the week so that their Friday can be part of the weekend.

Oh my goodness....our pastor LOVES to show movie clips (be it for special meetings or even for regular Church on Sunday). I love it because it shows what he's saying visually...but then I sit there going, Well, darnit, now I want to know what the whole movie's about! LOL, I can definitely sympathize.
Oddly enough, he showed a deleted scene from "Bruce Almighty" once - which wrapped up the whole movie (I haven't seen it, but it seemed like an important scene they should've left in it) - & it was "God" telling Jim Carrey's character that, yeah, if left up to his own wants and desires and power, man would ultimately destroy himself. That part was good (hopefully I remembered it correctly!).

I get to have a vacation when all this is over? Imagine.
