Ready for Spring

chestnutcurlsI have been busy. Hence, no writing.
I went on my first business trip, to New Orleans, last week. It was more fun than I had expected. Lots of sightseeing and good food, and not much business. :) I even got to see Em while I was there! Yay! Then I got to Come Home to my own place for the first time. I was so excited to be home that I did a week's worth of cleaning in about 3 hours. Then I collapsed. :)
The weather here has been extremely weird. I can understand the confused trees that are trying to bud early. After just a week of sunshine and 70 degrees, my body has gone into Spring (Party)Mode. I am buzzing with thoughts of tank tops, a new swimsuit, Redbirds games, and Summer Conference!!! This is very unfortunate, it being January. The temperature is supposed to drop again tonight, and I'm not sure I will be able to switch back. I am enjoying having my windows open all the time. I do not want winter anymore. I want April or May. NOW!!!
I am also looking forward to MusicFest, as this is the first year that I will not be moving or graduating at that time. If they do not come up with someone good (Kid Rock does not fall under "good,") I will be mad.
It's time to go to a conference call. Yay! (Everything is yay these days.) :)
