I am in pain, and this exercise video is to blame. I've had the video for a long time, but I've only done the second workout because the first was too hard. Well, on Sunday night I got ambitious and tackled the first one. I will never make that mistake again. The next morning, I could hardly walk. Today, despite the stretches Kathy made me do, isn't much better. Getting Up and Sitting Down are currently very difficult. I just hope I'm better by Saturday, when I will accompany my mom and my visiting grandfather and great-aunt to Murfreesboro for Contest of Champions.

In cat news, the vet has recommended we wait another week before bringing Gandalf home. I feel guilty about taking him from his mother, and Kathy is trying to convince me that cats are not familial and he probably won't be upset. Still, I keep thinking of sad animal-separation stories such as An American Tail. I am a sappy cheeseball. (Further proof: I absolutely love Kelly Clarkson's A Moment Like This.)

Have I mentioned that R.C. Sproul is coming to town? He'll be speaking at IPC next Sunday! But as I said, I will be gone this weekend. It might be possible for me to make the Sunday evening service, but my mother wants to show my relatives around Nashville on Sunday, and I doubt she'd be willing to come back earlier for me. Over the years, she's often gotten mad at me for missing family things because of church and RUF things. I don't think I could make her understand what a big deal R.C. Sproul is, so I just have to deal with it. I can always get the tapes, I guess.

Did anyone watch CSI Miami last night? It was a very pro-life episode. I was impressed.

It's Ron and Hermione from the first Harry Potter movie. In celebration of the second movie coming out soon. :) I need to find a better-quality picture, though...that one really doesn't cut it.

That's Rocketman, right? *...And I think it's gonna be a long, long time...* I love An American Tale too. I have the soundtrack. When I listen to the song called "Reunited" from the end when his family finds him, I almost cry!

I didn't see this CSI Miami (yet), but I'm curious what you think of the show in comparison to the original CSI. CSI Las Vegas is definitely one of the better shows on television, and I thought Miami was more than a bit of a letdown. The CSIs just don't quite have the same charm; not that anyone could beat Grissom, but they're always getting so personally involved in their cases, and they're not nearly as three-dimensional.

But that's my opinion from my very small corner of the world; what'd you think?

(Sorry to be asking random, barely-related questions in your LJ, but I don't really know anyone else who ever watches either of the CSIs; they're kinda tame...)

Actually...I've only seen about 2 episodes of the first CSI. I just started watching this one because it was in Miami. Silly, I know. :) And I like it (except for the gory-ness :P). But my co-workers are all hooked on the first one, and they don't think Miami is as good. So I'm pretty sure you have the popular opinion.
