I hope everyone's week is getting off to a good start!

This weekend was equal parts good, bad, and weird.
Good Things: Put up a shelf for my porcelain dolls. Watched my DVD of The Cutting Edge again; still cheesy and enjoyable. Went to Pizza Cafe with Kathy and Evan; then we rented K-Pax, which was very interesting. Went to church. Had dinner with Casey. Re-read several Lois Lowry books from my childhood, even though I desperately need to finish my Timothy Zahn Star Wars book.
Bad Things: Still didn't get to see Sum of All Fears. Found two roaches in the apartment. Kathy spent a lot of time at a retreat, leaving me alone to dwell on...
Weird Thing: This is going to affect me for a while, so I thought I could mention it. Basically I have been asked, by someone very important to me, to "share" him with someone else for the summer, and not only share him, but also befriend the person with whom I am sharing. This sounds much more shady than it actually is, but it is going to be very hard. God can use this to work some of my jealousy and selfishness out of me, so I can be glad about that, I guess. My main concern is that I behave in a humble, submissive way. Because if I don't, my summer could easily become one long episode of Dismissed. :(

My brother came in second at his archery competition on Saturday. I was very proud of him. He's a little upset, but the big prizes were all in the adult division anyway, so he didn't miss much by getting second instead of first.

Today I am going to have a picnic lunch with my sister. She is so thoughtful. I'm looking forward to spending time with her. I hope we don't melt, since it's already 90 or so degrees outside.

More later.

My sister and I had a great picnic lunch. We went over to the pond at Audubon Park, sat under a tree, ate good food, and watched ducks. It was very peaceful.

I am already excited about next Friday night. For those inhabitants of Under-a-rock-ville who don't know, the Tyson-Lewis boxing match is going to be held here in Memphis next weekend. (I hate boxing, and I think Tyson is mentally ill and should not be allowed to fight; so this is not why I am excited.) The fun thing is that hundreds of celebrities, including Justin Timberlake, John Travolta, and basically every player in the NBA, are going to be in town. This is a huge deal, since nothing exciting ever happens in Memphis, except during Elvis's Death Week (which coincides with my birthday).

My point is: A bunch of us girls are going to go downtown on Friday night for dinner and a movie. But we will go to a late show, and in between time, we are going to celebrity hunt. :) I'll be taking my digital camera, so expect fun photos next week. And yes, that is not so nice, and celebrities ought to be left alone, but I've never met anyone famous (except John Stamos outside the bathroom at Disney World, which I've mentioned in a previous entry). So :P.
